New Sample PacK!
SAMPLE SNACK PACK
To say thank you to everyone who has been supporting us on this wild CHOMPI adventure...
Here's a new pack full of sample snacks like Lo-Fi Chomps, Cosmic Explorations, plus loops and hits made by our CHOMPI Club community members!
This sample “snack” pack contains 8 different folders, each including a bank of samples that have been pre-formatted and named for immediate use with your CHOMPI. Additionally, we’ve also included a separate folder that has the entire card profile prepared on it… essentially a full set of factory files (Firmware, Samples, Options, etc…) that you can drop directly onto your sd card.
Just be sure to backup the contents of your SD card before wiping/preparing it for this new profile ;)
More information on this process can be found here ➜
*NOTE* : To use all 5 banks on your CHOMPI, check out our latest Alt Firmware Version 1.1 that expands the number of banks and includes new features…

🟡 JAMMI_B : Lo-Fi Chomps
🟡 CUBBI_B : Lo-Fi Loops
- Created by our original CHOMPI Club pal Matthew a.k.a. Studio 516, this JAMMI set is full of Lo-Fi chromatic building blocks. CUBBI Mode provides several sets of Lo-Fi rhythm / percussion loops that can be chomp’ed together.
* PRO TIP * : These drum loops were recorded in the same BPM, so they can be layered and performed together to create interesting combinations
🔵 JAMMI_C : Cosmic Chromatics
🔵 CUBBI_C : Cosmic Explorations
- These JAMMI mode samples are an exploration of unique sounds, textures, and tones created by CHOMPI Club founder Tobias. In CUBBI mode, those samples expand into cosmic loops to explore…
🟠 JAMMI_D *Bonus* : Loop That Pack
🟠 CUBBI_D *Bonus* : CHOMPI x Loop That Beats
- JAMMI mode stars original samples created by CHOMPI Club community member Mayo a.k.a. Loop That, featuring acoustic instruments, synths, percussion, strings, keys, and fun chops! Using the percussive chops from Loop That, this bonus set of CUBBI hits features vibey beats to get the jams going.
🟢 JAMMI_E & CUBBI_E : Now It’s Your Turn
- Slots 1-14 in the “E” banks of this set are intentionally left blank for you to start saving your chomps and jams!
How to Use CHOMPI • PAL
Easily format your sound samples
with the correct nomenclature and file type using CHOMPI•PAL: a web-based formatting app designed by one of our CHOMPI Club community members! (Nikita H.) 💟
Follow the steps below,
when IMPORTING and/or EXPORTING new samples with CHOMPI’s micro SD Card.
✹ note: ✹ It's always best practice to back up your current CHOMPI sample files if you are partial to them :)
STEP 1
Choose Your Preferences
Use the Engine Selector and Bank Selector drop down menus to determine where you want your sample files to go when loaded onto CHOMPI.
⎯⎯⎯
File Naming Structure as follows:
- 2 different types of engines - JAMMI (chromatic) & CUBBI (1-shot)
Each with 3 banks
• Bank A = Purple
• Bank B = Gold
• Bank C = Teal Blue
* Bank D & E (coming on Firmware update V1.1)
Each Bank contains sample slots numbered #1-14
STEP 2
Load Your Samples
Click desired sample slot box to upload your preferred sample file from your computer for that slot. Once a sample is successfully uploaded, the slot box will turn purple to indicate a file is present.
Repeat this step for each desired slot.
STEP 3
Download Files
When you've uploaded samples into all desired slots for that bank, click "MAKE MY FILES" to download a zipped folder of your newly formatted samples :)
⎯⎯⎯
* Feel free to click the "Normalize" box if you need help normalizing the volume level of your samples.
Repeat the process for each desired Engine & Bank.
STEP 4
Copy New Samples onto CHOMPI SD Card
Carefully remove the micro SD card from the slot located on the right side of the rear panel (next to the handle)
- Using a standard microSD card adapter, load the CHOMPI SD card onto your computer just like any other external hard drive or storage device
- Move/Copy any samples that you wish to import into CHOMPI onto the root directory of the SD card (NO FOLDERS - just the sample files)
STEP 5
Reinstall Micro SD Card Back into CHOMPI
Carefully reinsert the micro SD card back into CHOMPI.
- NOTE: due to the way the panel enclosure is designed, it can be possible to miss the card slot and drop your SD card into the enclosure. If this happens, simply remove one of the side panels and shake the SD card out.
STEP 6
Power On CHOMPI and Enjoy the LED Lightshow
- Flip the power switch ON to boot up CHOMPI and wait for the LED animation to complete
- Every time CHOMPI boots up, it checks the SD Card to see if there are any new samples that need to be optimized. If it recognizes new files, it will launch the optimization process (this is indicated by the initial LED “glowing” animation on bootup).
- Depending on the size/length of the files you are importing, this process may take a couple mins… But this process is only necessary the first time a new file is imported.
- Once you see the “rainbow” animation on the LED’s, you should be good to go!
FACTORY SAMPLES
These are the factory sample presets that come with every CHOMPI.
Need to reset your samples? Feel free to download!
p.s. Instructions for use and install are in the root folder. 🔎
